An 1872 colonial house at Forest Side (Curepipe), first stop on the Tea Route: museum, Maison des Essences and a flower park with camphor and endemic trees, then home-style Mauritian cooking on the veranda.
Tip: Visit only Rs 450, paid on site (no advance sales); visit and lunch Rs 1,600 per person from 1 November 2026. Try the restaurant's kat-kat manioc; the estate nursery is open Monday to Saturday, 9am-2.30pm.
