Vallée des Couleurs, renamed
Founded in 1998 around an outcrop of volcanic earth in 23 shades, this park at Chamouny (Mare Anguilles) in the south was known as La Vallée des Couleurs Nature Park. In 2025 it became Vallé Advenature Park, a blend of adventure and nature; many signs and guidebooks still use the old name.
People come for the hills, lakes and four waterfalls, for the coloured earth, less famous than Chamarel's but with more hues, and for a long menu of adrenaline activities.
Activities
Zipline tours range from a single 500 m line to an 11-line circuit totalling 5.5 km. There is also a 400 m bicycle zipline 18 m above the ground, and a 350 m Nepalese bridge hanging up to 100 m above the canopy.
Add the mountain luge kart, quads, buggies and 4x4 tours. Six bundles, from Light to Platinum, combine several activities with lunch. Arrive 30 minutes before your booked slot.
Prices and opening hours
Non-resident entry is Rs 550 for adults (12 and over) and Rs 325 for ages 6 to 11, free under 6; residents pay Rs 400 and Rs 275 with ID (checked October 2026 on vallepark.com). It covers the reserve, waterfalls, coloured earth and play area.

Getting there and tips
You need a car or taxi: allow about an hour from Port Louis, roughly the same from Flic en Flac via Chamarel or the south coast, and 1h15 to 1h30 from Grand Baie. The last stretch runs through sugar cane fields.
Outside food and cool boxes are not allowed; there is a cafeteria and a restaurant. Wear closed shoes for the activities and book ahead in high season. Tickets bought online cannot be changed and refunds carry a fee.
