A cassava-biscuit factory founded in 1870 and listed as national heritage, on the edge of Mahébourg. The wafers are still shaped by hand and baked on plates fired with sugar-cane leaves — 15,000 biscuits a day, seven flavours, and gestures unchanged for a century and a half.
Tip: Rs 140 per adult, Rs 175 with tasting (Rs 100 / Rs 125 for children). Open Monday to Friday 9:30am-3pm, closed weekends and public holidays — plan it on a weekday. A good indoor stop on a rainy day.
